By using the KiteDesk web application, you agree to the collection and use of your Personal Information as described in this policy. You should know that we collect limited account information and store and maintain your account and list contents on Google’s secure servers.
Except as described in this policy, we will not give, sell, rent, or loan any identifiable personal information to any third party. We may disclose such information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or as otherwise required by law. KiteDesk may also provide non-personal, summary or group statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related Services information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no Personal Information.
KiteDesk recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. KiteDesk does not target its services or this Site to children under 13. KiteDesk does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13.
WHAT WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
All users of KiteDesk are required to login using their Google Account™ or Google Apps™ account. Google has made available certain account information to KiteDesk for use including your email address. To modify any of your Google account information, please use the means provided by Google. KiteDesk is not affiliated with Google and does NOT have access to, nor does it store your Google account password.
Web desktop customizations and usage
The contents of your KiteDesk account are stored and maintained on Google servers which host the KiteDesk web application. Because Google keeps backup copies of data for the purposes of recovery from errors or system failure, residual copies of task list contents may remain on Google’s systems for some time, even after you have deleted information or after the termination of your account.
KiteDesk also may collect information about the use of your account, such as how much storage you are using, how often you log in, and other information related to your registration and use of the KiteDesk web application. Information displayed or clicked on in your KiteDesk account (including UI elements, links, and other information) is also recorded. We use this information internally to deliver the best possible service to you, such as improving the KiteDesk user interface.
We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, such as how many users clicked on a particular advertisement. Such information does not identify you individually.
“Cookies” are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
In addition to cookies, KiteDesk may also use (and KiteDesk’s third party advertisers may use) clear gifs, web beacons and third party cookies to improve the performance of our desktop service, provide certain features such as advertising or to anonymously track usage of our Internet sites and track the online activity on our sites.
You may stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer, including third party cookies, or flush them from your browser by adjusting your web browser preferences. In this case, you may still use the KiteDesk web desktop, but it may interfere with some of its functionality.
When you access the KiteDesk web application, Google servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
When you send email or other communications to KiteDesk, we may retain those communications to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our web application.
